Woolworths Carols in the Domain is Australia’s largest free Christmas concert. Every year tens of thousands of people come together to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas, while raising funds for The Salvation Army Oasis Youth Support Network. Those who can’t make it to the Domain can enjoy this spectacular concert live via the Seven Network.

This year marks the 28th year of Woolworths Carols in the Domain. The date's been set for Saturday 18 December and some of the biggest names in Australian show business will grace the stage. Woolworths, our major sponsor, activeTV, the event and television producers and broadcaster, the Seven Network, look forward to welcoming you to this very special event.

2010 will again feature an exciting line-up of talented performers. Keep an eye on our website as the event draws nearer for all of the latest Woolworths Carols in the Domain news and announcements, including the unveiling of this year's performers.

First of all - great event. This is our 3rd time going, and we're getting a bit better at it each time.

Some recommendations for all of you next year:

1) Get there early! We were there at 2:30pm and still didn't get a great spot, but we were at least in front of the stage. If you have young kids and want to be able to see without relying on the big projection screens: GET THERE EARLY!

2) Drive. Well, at least if you're like us and live a 50-60 minute train ride away. Thi is is first year we drove, having previously taken the train. We parked at QVB and found it much easier than previous years.

3) Bring a shade tent for the wait - you'll need to take it down before the show starts, but this is invaluable during the heat as this will be your only shade if you get a good seat!

4) The italian trattoria dinner I purchased was fantastic! For $10 I got rocket salad, potatoes, and charcoal chicken - healthy as well!

Lastly - while I can appreciate the need for some level of crowd control. The security gaurds at one point decided to block of certain entrances, which basically meant if you left to get food or use the restroom - you couldn't get back. Thankfully I had my 2 year old with me who was none too happy with this so after lots of tears they took pity on me and let us through. This was the only ugly part of a really great day/evening out. We LOVED Josh Grobin, Stan Walker, and Mohagony - and the Wiggles were great like always! Highly recommended!
